School Rules & Regulations
- 1. The academic year is from June to April.
- 2. For admission of children both parents should be present. Admission is subject to availability of seats.
- 3. Date of birth and name once entered into the Admission Register, shall not be altered, unless necessary document with proper attestation is produced.
- 4. Working Hours:
- 9.10 a.m to 12.20 p.m.
1.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m
II & IV Saturdays are working days. - 5. Punctuality, strict regularity, cleanliness of dress and person, courtesy in speech and conduct, sincerity and obedience, respect for teachers, parents and elders are to be cultivated by every pupil.
- 6. Pupils should come to school wearing school uniforms everyday.
- 7. Pupils who were absent or come late will have to get permission from the principal before entering the class.
- 8. During class hours no student should be seen outside of the class room.
- 9. No student should go out of the school campus without the permission of the principal.
- 10. Students are permited to go out of the school campus only on producing a written letter from parent/guardian to the students.
- 11. Students with irregular attendance will be detained.
- 12. Pupils themselves are responsible for their own books, pen, tiffin carrier or any other article they bring to school.
- 13. Students should not absent themselves without applying for leave.
- 14. The leave letter should be signed by the parents or guardian.
- 15. Students should speak only English in the school Campus.
- 16. Parents are advised to send their children without wearing costly ornaments
- 17. For any information or for giving suggestion or complaints, Parents are requested to contact the principal and only during the working hours and on working days.
- 18. Parents should take extra care for the study of their children at home.
- 19.Term fees should be paid in two terms.
- 20.Term fees should be remitted on or before the 10th of the first month of each term.
- 21. Defaulters will be fined Rs. 50/- for every 5 Days.
- 22. Fees, once paid, will not be refunded, if the pupil attended one day.
- 23. The summer holidays commence in April.
SCHOOL ATTENDANCE POLICY
The School insists on children "strictly adhering to stipulated attendance rules" because they are mandatory and not optional and are an essential eligibility condition in the scheme of examination.
SCHOOL RULES REGARDING THE ATTENDANCE OF STUDENTS
- 1.No leave can be taken unless prior permission has been obtained.
- 2.Frequent absentees will be issued T.C. even at the middle of the year.
- 3.Students taking leave or absenting themselves from classes (unless they are very sick and hospitalised, which will have to be informed to the school by parents and later coming in person and handing over an authentic Medical Certificate) will be suspended and will not be allowed to take test and examinations.
- 4.Parents are requested not to encourage their wards to stay away from classes or from exams.
- 5. Those students who take cent percent attendance will be awarded by the Management.
LATE COMINGS
The School insists on punctuality and does not approve of late comings. Children should reach the school at least 10 minutes before the First bell in every school day so as to be able to participate in the Morning Assembly. Late comers name will be entered in the Late attendances Record of the pupil's school diary. Habitual late comers will be sent Home with T.C.
CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOUR
The School is very particular about the conduct and behaviour of students both inside and outside the school Campus. Total assessment of the child's conduct is made using the parameters mentioned below.
GENERAL AREA
- 1. Courtesy and good manners.
- 2. Self-discipline and self control
- 3. Behaviour during prayers, meditation & yoga Classes, Sports and games and School Assembly
- 4. Behaviour during lunch and snack time
- 5. Wearning proper uniform and cleanliness.
- 6. Punctuality and modesty.
- 7. Self-discipline in programmes outside the school
- 8. Behaviour during exams and tests.
- 9. Respect for humanness and human rights.
TO THE ATTENTION OF PARENTS
- 1. All round co-operation of the parents and guardians is requested so that their children may get the best out of the school.
- 2. They are requested to go through the school Diary carefully and verify the homework and also any other observation about their children made by the teachers. This daily parental interest in their children's progress is of paramount importance.
- 3. Parents are welcome to visit the school but they are requested not to enter the class rooms, speak with teacher or disturb the class.
- 4. Parents who seek information or who wish to make some complaint should do so to the school office and not to the class teacher.
- 5. The progress Report showing the progress of the pupil will be sent to the parents after every terminal examination. Parents are requested to examine the Report carefully and see that their wards make special efforts to improve in the subjects they are weak.
- 6. Parents will appreciate the stand that the children themselves are responsible for their own books, fountain pens, cycles, Tiffin carriers or any other articles they may bring to school. While every effort is made by the school to reduce the incidence of loss of such articles. The ultimate responsibility rests with children & parents themselves.
- 7. Parents are requested to sign the Late Attendance Record and the Absence Record in the Diary whenever necessary and also to go through the Library Reading Record. They are requested to discourage late attendance.
- 8. Rules regarding uniform must be observed strictly with respect to cleanliness and maintenance, through- out the academic year. The rules hold good for shoes and socks also.
- 9. Parents are requested not to buy second hand book.
- 10. Maintenance of books by binding them, throughout the academic year is very essential. Weekly check up of the books by the parents will enable the children to maintain the books in good condition. Bringing books to school according to the time-table is important. Covering and labeling of books at the beginning of each term must be done.
- 11. Kindly take care of the library books brought from school, and see that they are returned on time, in proper condition.
- 12. Please sign the Diary promptly when a warning note or circular is sent to you, to indicate to us that you have seen the same.
- 13.Parents should respond promptly and responsibly to the communication from the school office.
- 14.The school will conduct Model Examinations Tests for Std X, starting from January every year prepare them for the public Examinations. Answer papers for all these test will be sent to parents for their perusal. Parents will be called by the Principal for discussion after every Test for discussion about their wards.
- 15. Parents should visit the school on I & III Saturdays to enquire about the progress of their wards and to meet respective class-teacher.
NOTE TO PUPILS
- 1.Read the school diary carefully and bring it to school every day. Keep a note in it of anything of importance to you.
- 2.This is your School. Keep it clean and tidy so that you and others may be proud of it.
- 3.The use of bad language, unruly behaviour and bad manners are forbidden.
- 4. Aim at full attendance and unfailing punctuality so that you may get the best out of the school.
- 5. Disobedience and disrespect towards the members of the staff or bad moral influence justify dismissal.
- 6. Work hard and do your best in your studies, Your parents and the nation expect a lot from you.
- 7. Do not leave the classroom or the school compund without proper permission.
- 8. Cultivate good habits and behave in such a way that your teachers, parents and the society may be proud of you.
- 9. Scribbling on the walls and desks, throwing paper or ink about the classrooms or in any way damaging the school property are all forbidden. Damages caused must be paid for at the discretion of the school authorities.
- 10. You are forbidden to introduce objectionable literature into the school or purchase any articles of food from unauthorized dealers near the school premises.
- 11. Students should cultivate an attitude of gratitude to reach the altitudes in their lives.
